Ideas for long wavy hair?

My hair is thick and wavy, about mid-rib length and cut in long layers.

I need quick style ideas that don't include blow-drying and/or curling/straightening irons.

brush your hair while in the shower, when you get out wait about ten minutes and then take a little bit of gel and scrunch it through out your hair,(do not brush after youre out of the shower) put your hair up ina bun and leave it there until your hair seems pretty much dry,when you take it out it should come out in pretty waves, but controlled waves, not the frizzy kind when you first wake up lol idk that whats i do to my hair all the time when im too lazy to blowdry/straighten

either get a haircut/more layers for manageability or just do what i do...throw in a mousse/leave in conditioner (mines from Aussi..works a treat) scrunch a little and spray on a little spray-on gel (great curly hair ones from pantene)....you're good. you can leave it down to dry pretty or throw it up into a messy bun.

Your hair sounds a lot like mine.

My hair is naturally wavy (not curly) thick and long, cut in long layers. Medium brown.

I have long bangs, just below my eyebrows, that I sometimes wear off to one side or parted in the middle and brushed to the sides a bit.

I usually wear my hair kinda wild and free.

But when I'm at work, I just tie it back.

Everybody says I have great hair and I'll bet you do too!

Now everyone knows scrunching your hair leaves it flakey and stiff because of the jell or mouse or even worse it falls out after only half a day. However there is a product out there ladies you can use to leave your hair with the scrunch or curly look but not with that unwanted flakey, hard hair. It is called Softee(proteen gel). You can get it at Family Dollar or Wal-mart. Its just a couple of bucks for a large amount. While your hair is wet apply a fair amount of Softee to your hair from root to ends. Brush it trough with your fingers. The from end to root scrunch you hair over and over and over. Since you have naturally curly hair just allow your hair to dry natural. But for fun if you want you can blow dry your hair upside down while scrunching it at the same time. You end result will be beautiful wavy, curly, scruchy hair that is soft not hard and not freezy. Try it out sometime I think you will like it. And good Luck.
